Glider hidden on the grass

For the first post of 2010, I want to share a photo of the Easyglider.
It had its maiden flight on a windy and hot spring afternoon.
And it handled exceptionally well taking into consideration the weather conditions.

The harvesting season 2009

The summer has officially ended. And it's time to collect the corn which grew in the last 4 months.

Here are two "photo/videos", which one representing one activity of this harvesting season.

Red Bull Air Race - Porto 2009

There is so much that could be said about this year's RBAR in Porto.
This intense weekend was a true airshow!

Even for a person who attended the previous years, this year had exciting and unexpected flights, such as (just to mention the cherry at the top of the cake) the Douglas DC-3 from Breitling and the Airbus A310 fom SATA.

Apart from that, the pilots were pushing their luck during the qualification rounds, which led to several disqualifications (due to pulling over the 12G limit) and to many penalties (due to pilon hits).

I had the luck to capture one of those hits with a borowed camera. There was no better moment to press the shutter :)
