Red Bull Air Race - Porto 2009

There is so much that could be said about this year's RBAR in Porto.
This intense weekend was a true airshow!

Even for a person who attended the previous years, this year had exciting and unexpected flights, such as (just to mention the cherry at the top of the cake) the Douglas DC-3 from Breitling and the Airbus A310 fom SATA.

Apart from that, the pilots were pushing their luck during the qualification rounds, which led to several disqualifications (due to pulling over the 12G limit) and to many penalties (due to pilon hits).

I had the luck to capture one of those hits with a borowed camera. There was no better moment to press the shutter :)

I have no words to comment on this day.

I could publish thousands of pictures and still they would not be enough to express the emotion of such an event!
